AWS re:Invent 2025: Amazon & Google Bring Multicloud Service For Faster Connectivity

Essentially, it will remove complicated processes observed across traditional multicloud networking by allowing them to quickly configure connections with other cloud providers.
Google Cloud will be the first partner on this first purpose-built network interoperability product of its kind and is “a step toward a more open cloud environment.”
This joint multicloud networking solution between the two will use AWS Interconnect - multicloud and Google Cloud’s Cross-Cloud Interconnect, allowing them to establish private, high-bandwidth connectivity.
“This collaboration between AWS and Google Cloud represents a fundamental shift in multicloud connectivity,” said Robert Kennedy, VP of Network Services, AWS.
“By defining and publishing a standard that removes the complexity of any physical components for customers, with high availability and security fused into that standard, customers no longer need to worry about any heavy lifting to create their desired connectivity. When they need multicloud connectivity, it's ready to activate in minutes with a simple point and click.”
The new capability will also allow the company’s customers to easily interconnect AWS networking services, such as Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, and VPC, to other Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) with ease.
It provides customers with a fully managed, cloud-to-cloud experience that omits previous difficulties in connecting different cloud workloads, processes that could end up taking weeks or months and require coordinating with multiple internal and external teams.
It also cuts out the need to choose between having to pick underperforming public connectivity or building complex and customized private connectivity.
AWS Interconnect - multicloud is currently in preview, and Amazon plans to add more cloud providers soon.
Amazon has also published an open API package on GitHub.

Amazon’s AWS re:Invent 2025, which brings together cloud experts from around the world, will be held from December 1 to 5 across multiple venues on the Las Vegas Strip, spanning Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, The Venetian, Caesars Forum, and Encore, among others.
Through the event, Amazon and AWS (Amazon Web Services), its cloud arm, are set to unveil and launch a series of new products, services, and announcements regarding agentic AI, cloud infrastructure, and foundation models.
This includes upgrades for its Amazon Connect offering, which comes with new features that help businesses deliver seamless, personalized, and unified customer experiences, powered by agentic AI capabilities, as well as a native integration connecting realistic and real-time Voice AI platform Deepgram with Amazon SageMaker AI.
